With almost 30 years of experience, Zarakop has become recognised as a reliable local producer of stone aggregates for the construction industry in Zadar County. HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT
1996: COMPANY FOUNDED
Zarakop d.o.o. was founded in Zadar in 1996 and has been active in construction stone quarrying and stone aggregate production ever since.
2010: PLANT MODERNISATION
By investing in modern machinery and a crushing and screening plant, we ensure the production of standard fractions of stone aggregate.
2019: FIRST CONCESSION
We make a key business step forward by obtaining the Concession Agreement for the exploitation of mineral raw material at the “Vidukin gaj” field.
2022: CAPACITY EXPANSION
We upgrade the technological process – from drilling and blasting to loading and transport – significantly increasing total output.
2024: NEW CONCESSION AGREEMENT
Due to the increased volume of business, we sign a new concession agreement and further strengthen our position in the construction materials market.
TODAY: EXPERTISE AND SAFETY
We employ 10 skilled professionals whose experience creates high-quality products while respecting the highest environmental protection standards.
Stone quarrying
The construction stone quarrying process at Zarakop is based on an expertly planned and controlled technological procedure covering every phase — from preparing the deposit to processing and grading the finished material.
STONE AGGREGATE PRODUCTION
In the processing plant, the raw material is mechanically processed into standardised fractions of stone aggregate. The process includes crushing, screening and separating fractions according to customer requirements and specific needs.
